In the UK Parentheses are called brackets and what we call brackets they call square brackets. I thought of this because I recently tagged this comic under a prompt for someone who worked for Scholastic UK. She liked it on Twitter but I forgot to use this other name. Maybe I can make some British alter egos with Full Stop being another.
